High- quality turfgrasses in the home lawn often require nutrients in excess of what the soil on the site can provide. To properly apply these nutrients, it is important to understand the needs of the species as well as timing and climatic factors. This introductory publication provides information on all of these aspects to enable homeowners to develop a plan for providing nutrients to their lawn through fertilization.
