Timing is a critical aspect of establishing home lawns, and poor timing is a frequent cause of failure or poor stands of turf for Tennessee homeowners. Some turfgrasses grow better when established under warm conditions, while others are the reverse. This publication provides information on timing and planting method for a range of common turfgrass species used by residents of Tennessee.
