You don’t need a large in-ground garden to produce your own tomatoes and cucumbers. Hydroponic systems enable gardeners to grow great tasting fruiting vegetables quite efficiently. This publication provides an overview of hydroponic systems for growing tomatoes and other fruiting vegetable crops. It will also introduce gardeners to different types of growing systems and some things to consider when buying hydroponic systems. This publication will also help gardeners learn to mix and manage nutrient solutions. This is the third of three new publications from the UT and UF Extension.
