Flowering trees are important in the landscape and provide many visual benefits including colorful blooms as well as screening. They can be planted as specimen trees as well as in screens and hedges. However, trees must be carefully selected for the purpose and the site. This publication provides information on selection criteria as well as information on several flowering trees for home landscapes and attributes of interest to the homeowner. It also includes information on why flowering trees may not be performing well in the landscape.
