Trees provide many benefits to homeowners, so selecting plants for the home landscape need not be limited to shrubs and flowers. Several excellent tree species are also Tennessee natives that are adapted to many of the sites and ecosystems in our state. This publication provides information on why native trees could be an asset in the landscape and options for the homeowner. Keep in mind that this publication covers species from across the state, so not every species will work in all regions of Tennessee.
