Do you want to grow vegetables but have a lawn or garden area with poor soil? Or do you live in a small house or apartment with no garden area for vegetables at all? Well, do not despair because there are still options that will enable you to grow fresh vegetables at home. This publication provides an overview of soilless vegetable growing. Commonly known as hydroponics, these methods can enable gardeners to grow fresh vegetables even if they don’t have space or time for a in-ground garden. It provides an introduction to methods of growing for leafy and fruiting crops and helps you get going on a new an exciting gardening adventure. It is the first in a series of three new publications from the UT and the UF Extension.
